KNOW THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN INFLUENZA (FLU) AND COVID-19:

Both Flu and COVID-19 are contagious respiratory illnesses, but they have different viral origins. COVID-19 is caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, while Flu results from infection with influenza viruses. Identifying the specific illness based on symptoms alone can be challenging, as they share some commonalities. However, advanced PCR tests are capable of differentiating between the two viral infections simultaneously.

In cases where these differentiating tests are unavailable, separate Flu and COVID-19 tests may be administered at testing locations. To ensure accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment, consult a healthcare provider about undergoing tests for both Flu and COVID-19 if you exhibit relevant symptoms. For further information, refer to the CDC's guide on symptoms and testing: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/symptoms-testing/symptoms.html
